It was a great honour to be invited to deliver this online programme in cooperation with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Serbia, the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Serbian Agricultural Advisory Service.
The agriculture sector faces many challenges, examples being climate and climate change, supply chain disruptions, loss of appeal to younger generations, revenue pressures, biotic and abiotic stress and the requirement to invest in technology. At the same time there are opportunities too for entrepreneurship in a sector in transition. Farmers have an intrinsic ability to adapt and with this asset in mind, it was a pleasure to speak on the topic of effective knowledge exchange and entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector.
